In 2009, Hiroshi Senju completed site specific work, commissioned especially for the main house of "Ishibashi", one venue of Art House Project in Benesse Art Site Naoshima. As a further exploration from his magnificent Waterfall series, which he’s continued for several decades, he created Sansui-ga (landscape painting) series and the work entitled The Garden of Kū. Responding to the landscape and historical background of Naoshima, artist completed this fourteen-panel fusuma painting with materials of Nihonga, mineral pigments and silver paint. ACF participated in this project as a coordinator.
