Kadoya was the first Art House Project completed in 1999. The nearly 200-year old house was restored using Japanese plaster, smoked cedar board, and traditional tiles which are original style of the island. Inside, Tatsuo Miyajima’s Sea of Time ’98 was created with participation from local residents. Kadoya is ACF’s first site-specific project and indicated one principle of ACF”s art project thereafter.
